Dr. Lidia ȘTEFĂNESCU

Dr. Lidia Ștefănescu is a senior consultant in oral and maxillofacial surgery (since 2009) and holds a PhD in medical sciences, with the thesis "Treatment of cervical lymphadenopathy after cancers with intraoral onset".

She trained at the "Dan Theodorescu" University Clinical Hospital in Bucharest, first as a junior doctor and then as a resident in oral and maxillofacial surgery (1994–2000). Since 2004 she has been a senior consultant in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Ploiești County Emergency Hospital, where she coordinates the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit.

Her scientific work includes 36 oral presentations and 6 posters at national and international congresses, 10 specialist articles, and co-authorship of the volume "Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery" (vol. II, Editura Național, Bucharest, 1998). She was scientific secretary of the 2nd UNAS Congress (Bucharest, 1998) and president of the European Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Sinaia, 2008).
