Complex case: orthodontic, periodontal and implant-prosthetic treatment

The patient, 45 years old, came in to address multiple dental issues — aesthetic, orthodontic and periodontal.

The treatment was complex and tailored to the patient, since it needed to address both oral health and the appearance of the dentition. Periodontal therapy was started first, to stabilize the health of the tissues supporting the teeth. Orthodontic treatment followed, to correct alignment and improve function. Dental implants were placed to close the missing-tooth spaces in the back of the mouth, followed by the corresponding prosthetic work. Finally, to address the aesthetic side, the patient had teeth whitening and veneers, which helped achieve a harmonious, natural smile.
